BNP Paribas has officially denied any collaboration with Pi Network to enable SEPA transfers in cryptocurrency, refuting misinformation spread by several media outlets. The erroneous reports stemmed from a misinterpreted GitHub repository falsely cited as proof of a partnership.

Prominent crypto platforms like CryptoRank, CoinSpeaker, and CryptoNews propagated the unverified claims, highlighting the persistent issue of misinformation in cryptocurrency journalism. While the rapid spread is understandable in a fast-moving industry, it does not justify the lack of proper verification.
